Added some upgrades to spend your hard earned credits on! This feature is nice because it gives the player goals to work toward. Yay!
Updates:
- Added ship upgrades for fuel efficiency so you can stay flying longer!
- Page Down key resets your Fuel Efficiency upgrades. You probably dont want to use this, but its there.
- Tweaked the fuel usage rates a little to initially give you a little extra active flying time, with improved rates for each fuel efficiency upgrade. Each upgrade doubles efficiency. Like everything, these rates are subject to change in the future for balancing purposes.
- Fixed a bug where the Fuel UI was displaying more fuel bars than it was supposed based on your actual fuel when starting up the game. It would recalculate when you first started moving, but looked wrong initially. Fixed now.
Thoughts/Observations:
- Saving needs an overhaul at this point. Something more centralized and probably user-driven or perhaps automatically when docking.
- Item/Upgrade refactoring will need to happen as the variety of different items/upgrades get added. Its too time consuming to individually create each single item in the UI and in code. Everything is spread across several variables, and needs to be consolidated into a single object (or two if separate for items and upgrades).
